YOUNG EXPLORERS

Kids love exploring nature while making new friends! Young children are natural scientists, truly curious about the world. Science for young children is not performing an experiment -- it's investigating everything around them. Investigation involves children observing, wondering, predicting, exploring, and explaining what they can and cannot see. In the world of a young child, science can really be found EVERYWHERE!

Young Explorers is divided into two age groups that are held simultaneously: Tiny Trekkers (ages 2 1/2 to 3) and Natural Wonders (ages 4 to 5). Parents/caregivers must stay for Tiny Trekkers.

Classes explore a science theme each week. The instructor leads fun, age-appropriate, interactive activities from several content areas including math, language, art, music, movement, and social and emotional development. Classes are held the second and fourth Friday from October through May, except on November 25 and December 23 due to holidays. Summer camp is offered during the summer months.
