
CAMPS FOR 11-13-YEAR-OLDS
The fun doesn’t stop for pre-teens! This year, the Museum will be offering three fascinating camps for campers ages 11–13. These weeklong camps run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Campers need to bring a bag lunch and labeled water bottle. An afternoon snack will be provided. Survivor New for 2013! OVERNIGHT Tuesday sleepover at the Museum! Do you know how to survive in the wilderness? Do you love being outdoors? Sleepover at the Museum, enjoy a game of capture the flag against campers in our “Science of the Round Table” camp, and enjoy a pizza dinner and breakfast.
More information on the overnight will be included in your welcome packet.

The Science of Food You know you like to eat Jell-O, but have you ever wondered what makes it jiggle? Or why some cakes are soft and fluffy while others are heavy and dense? What happens to water when it boils? Learn about the science behind some of your favorite foods and more in this perfect follow up to The Natural History of Pizza! Campers will take a field trip to Jamie and Phyllis Wyeth's Point Lookout Farm on Route 100 to enhance this camp and reinforce what they learn. Travel costs for this field trip are included in the registration fee.
