CAMPS FOR 9- AND 10-YEAR-OLDS

The Museum’s five fun camps for 9- and 10-year-olds run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Campers need to bring a bag lunch and labeled water bottle. An afternoon snack will be provided.  Extended care is available before and after camp for an additional fee. Digging Up Dinos: The Science of Paleontology
Are you passionate about paleontology? Bring your own dinosaur knowledge to the Museum and help identify dinosaurs, recreate skeletons from fossil remains, and go on real fossil dig.

Science of the Roundtable New for 2013! OVERNIGHT
Tuesday sleepover at the Museum! Here ye, here ye! Lords and ladies are invited to join us as we discover the science of the Middle Ages. New this year: A sleepover at the Museum and a medieval pizza feast and breakfast. Build catapults and protect the Museum in a game of capture the flag against campers in our “Survivor” camp. 

More information on the overnight will be included in your welcome packet.

Delaware Smith and the Lost Civilizations New for 2013!
Do you love adventure? Do you secretly wish you were Indiana Jones™? If your answer is yes, then prepare yourself as we uncover past civilizations through anthropology and archaeology.

The Nature of Art 
Anyone can look at a painting and appreciate its beauty, but how many people can tell you about how the paint was made? Learn about the essential materials used to create magnificent masterpieces, and make some of your own!  Campers will take a field trip to Jamie and Phyllis Wyeth's Point Lookout Farm on Route 100 to enhance this camp and reinforce what they learn.  Travel costs for this field trip are included in the registration fee.

The Natural History of Pizza
It’s not delivery; it’s DMNH! Be a world traveler and discover the origins of pizza, eat your way through the history of toppings like tomatoes and pepperoni, and make your own pies for an end-of-the-week pizza party.
