Saturday Storytimes sponsored by Ursuline Academy
Saturdays at 11:00 a.m.

The Delaware Museum of Natural History is excited to announce a formal
partnership with Ursuline Academy to offer visitors “Saturday Storytimes sponsored by Ursuline Academy” every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Museum’s Nature Nook.

“We’re incredibly excited to be able to expand the offerings in our Nature Nook and we couldn’t ask for a better partner in Ursuline Academy,” said Halsey Spruance, executive director of the Delaware Museum of Natural History.  “Their reputation for leadership and service to the community is directly reflected in this partnership.”

Each Saturday, themed children’s books are read by the Museum's Nature Nook staff.  Book themes are based on the Museum’s current special exhibit, science, nature, current Ursuline curriculum, and other topics.  In addition, selected themes are further explored with hands-on activities, crafts, and instruction from Nature Nook staff.

“Partnering with Delaware Museum of Natural History is a great opportunity for Ursuline to connect with families in the community from both a personal and educational perspective,” shared Lisa Clody ’83, Lower School Principal. “In addition to our excellent faculty and staff, our current parents are excited to volunteer their time reading during ‘Saturday Storytimes’.”
