Girl Scout Programs 2019-2020

The Delaware Museum of Natural History offers engaging science and nature programs and events for Girl Scouts, designed to meet requirements towards badges and awards.

DMNH Patches are available! Purchase a Delaware Museum of
Natural History patch to take home as a souvenir from your visit.

Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette programs include activities that work toward requirements for specific Leadership Journeys and/or badges.

1.5 hour programs

How to register
1.5 hour programs: $12 per Scout; $9 per adult, minimum fee $81
2 hour programs: $15 per Scout; $9 per adult, minimum fee $99

Send an email to education@delmnh.org to schedule a date and time. Programs are available Saturdays and Sundays between 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Programs take place both inside DMNH and outside on our Nature trails. Dress appropriately for the weather, rain or shine.

Girl Scout Outreaches

Make your Scout event special by inviting DMNH to come to you! Programs can include fossils, live animals, hands-on activities, and more!  This option is perfect for Girl Scout meetings and other events! Each program lasts approximately one hour and rates begin at $100.00.

Spend a night at DMNH and snooze near the dinosaurs, Hall of Shells, or animals in the African Watering Hole. Explore the Museum and participate in activities that work toward a specific adventure/badge/journey. Enjoy a snack and watch a movie before lights out. Light breakfast is provided. Programming can be tailored for Scouts of different levels that are sleeping over together. Choose any of the  Badges or Journeys currently offered for your evening’s programming.
Time: 7 p.m. – 8 a.m.
Cost: $35 per Scout; $25 per adult, minimum fee $480
