Join us for a three-part virtual series followed by an evening in-person outdoor viewing event exploring the night sky, fulfilling Cub Scout and Girl Scout requirements along the way! Part 1 takes us to the moon as we approach October’s end-of-the-month Blue Moon. Discovering the Moon’s surface as well as its relationship with Earth will have you seeing the moon in a whole new light. Part 2 launches us from our star, the Sun, out into the countless stars and constellations of our Milky Way Galaxy and beyond. Part 3 brings us back to our own Solar System, gaining the tools to identify and explore the variety of objects that share our Solar System neighborhood. This Virtual Series culminates with an on-site, outdoor sky viewing event during the Geminids Meteor Shower! Join us for all four dates, or pick the dates that most interest you. If you’re a Girl Scout Brownie or Junior, attending all four events meets all requirements needed to earn your Space Science Adventurer or Space Science Investigator Badges.
